If this is not deemed suitable, such as if the relationship between the employer and the employee has broken down and is not reparable, then compensation to the employee may be ordered.  <\/P>\n\n<P>Unfair Dismissal claims that are presented to the FWC can be a costly exercise for any business. The FWC states that the median rate of compensation is between 5 and 7 weeks&#8217; pay. The maximum rate that can be ordered which is indexed in July annually is the lesser of $83,750 (2023-24) or half of the employee\u2019s annual wage.
